Label variant of [r12128477 Side A on the label "Beale Street Blues" is misspelled as "Beal" Released in a mass release by Columbia of Goodman material coinciding with the release of "The Benny Goodman Story", February 1956. This was Columbia CL 814 thru CL 821 and given the series name; BG 25. Only Moonglow- B2 can be confirmed as being recorded the date on the jacket, released on Columbia 78: 2927-D and reissued Columbia 35389. There are multiple takes and perhaps one was used here. All other previously released tracks have different recording dates. Not a compilation, but as the jacket says, a collection. Labels have NO SIDE DESIGNATIONS, nor does the back cover. Just two columns of song tracks, which match up to the first column and second column of six tracks each. Pressed by Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Hollywood identified by the etched H in the deadwax. Primarily made up of Goodman's mid-30's recordings, according to the jacket notes by George Avakian.
